A California Seller of Travel License is required of any person who sells, provides, furnishes, contracts for, arranges, or advertises travel in either of the following circumstances:

• (1) Air or sea transportation, separately or in conjunction with other travel services.
• (2) Land or water vessel transportation, other than sea carriage, separately or in conjunction with other travel services wherein the total charges to the passenger exceeded $300.

As part of the licensing process, Sellers of Travel are required to post and maintain a Seller of Travel License Surety Bond in an amount adequate to cover the highest single day’s balance of customers money which would be held by you in trust before forwarding to providers of transportation or travel services.
