Alabama Motor Fuels Surety Bond
The Alabama Department of Revenue, Business & License Tax Division - Motor Fuels Section requires the following businesses to be licensed and provide a Motor Fuels Surety Bond:
- Terminal Operator
- Permissive Supplier
as defined is Title 40, Chapter 17, aritcle 12 Code of Alabama. The amount of surety bond required will be fixed by the Motor Fuels Department.
The purpose of the bond is to guarantee the licensee will file with the State Department of Revenue of the State of Alabama true reports, as required by law and shall pay all taxes, penalties, and interest imposed by the State of Alabama, and which may now be due or which may hereafter become due by the Principal to the State of Alabama, together with any and all penalties and interest thereon, and shall faithfully comply with the provisions of said Title 40, Chapter 17, Article 12, supra.
