To obtain a Certificate of Registration for Service Contract Providers, an application must be received and approved by the Nevada Commissioner of the Division of Insurance.  As part of the registration process, Service Contract Provider are required to place a Service Contract Provider License Surety Bond in the amount $25,000 or 5 percent of the gross consideration received by the provider for any unexpired service contracts, less any claims paid on the unexpired service contracts, whichever is greater. 

By definition, a service contract provider is anyone who issues, sells or offers for sale service contracts for home warranty or auto warranty.
