Utah Service Contract Provider License Bond

The State of Utah requires Service Contract Providers to be licensed with the Utah Department of Insurance as a Service Contract Provider if they are providing any of the following service contracts/warranties:

  • Home Warranty
  • Automobile Warranty/Service Contract
  • Consumer Goods Warranty/Service Contract
  • Vehicle Protection Warranty

As part of the licensing requirement, the provider must provide and maintain a $50,000 Service Contract Provider License Surety Bond.  Additional information about license requirements can be found on the Utah Service Contract Providers website.
