Effective November 11, 2017, the New Jersy legislature enacted the Appraisal Management Company Registration and Regulation Act (AB1973) to establish registration requirements for all Appraisal Management Companies (AMC) looking to transact business in the State of NJ.  As part of the registration, AMC's must post a $25,000 surety bond payable to the NJ Real Estate Appraisers Board.  The bond term will match the license term which is 2 years with a biennial renewal.
