As of July 2013 all Appraisal Management Companies must be licensed and maintain a $25,000.00 AMC License Surety Bond.  The bond is required by 12-61-7067 CRS and provides monetary remuneration to anyone harmed by the actions of the licensed Appraisal Management Company such as fraud, forgery, criminal impersonation or fraudulent impersonation while conducting business as an AMC or under any other occupation which requires licensure as an appraisal management company, then this obligation shall be null and void, otherwise to remain in full force and effect. Such damages shall be based on a final determination of fraud, forgery, criminal impersonation or fraudulent misrepresentation made by a court of competent jurisdiction.
